Overview

Julia L. Stommes was the founder and managing partner of Stommes Immigration  Law Office for seven (7) years and now has joined FSB Fisher Broyles, LLP as a Partner in the Dallas Office. Ms. Stommes has practiced immigration law for over eighteen (18) years.  Her primary focus has been on advising and assisting companies with their recruiting, hiring and retention of foreign nationals on a temporary and permanent basis in the U.S.  In addition, she has assisted U.S. companies with the transfer of their  employees abroad.  She is also highly experienced with counseling clients on start-up issues and immigration strategies, I-9s, and Social Security mismatch letters.    

Ms. Stommes is a graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis, Missouri, and a cum laude graduate of Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. She is conversant in German, which she learned during her high school years in Omaha, Nebraska, and studied abroad in Salzburg, Austria.  Ms. Stommes also worked as an Intern for Senator Kerrey of Nebraska in Washington D.C.

Ms. Stommes is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (“AILA”), Texas AILA Chapter, Iowa/Nebraska AILA Chapter, Northern California AILA Chapter, and the State Bar of Texas.
